Pillows from the Arts & Crafts era varied in size but typically were not small. For a high back settle, generally a large, firmly stuffed pillow is desirable. For other purposes, the visual scale and comfort in use should be the determining factors for choosing.

Pillows with embroidery are available completely finished, filled with a down and feather inner pillow, or, as a kit. The kit includes the pillow front with the design marked, fabric for the back, embroidery thread, a needle, and instructions for embroidering and completing.
